This area provides a vital link between the volunteer groups and Haldimand County in the areas of Community Halls, Community Festivals, Fundraising Initiatives and Special Community and Corporate Events. It will strive to support, sustain, recruit and reward volunteers for their ongoing dedication and commitment to the County. It also provides an avenue for partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
Haldimand County recognizes the importance of Special Events in enhancing the quality of life, tourism, culture, recreation, and education and in providing economic benefits to local businesses. All of which would not be possible without the invaluable service of volunteers, community groups and sponsors that add support and skills to enhancing special events.
Each year, Haldimand County receives many requests from community groups and organizations to operate special events on Haldimand County property. These events vary in scope, purpose, size, cost and complexity...all of which require the coordinated efforts of staff to ensure safe event operation and adherence to applicable by-laws, policies and procedures.
Specific forms are required to accommodate various events. Based on your request, Council approval may be required. Haldimand County is proud to support a number of community halls which form an integral part of the community. Rental information including availability and fees can be obtained by contacting the respective booking agents listed. Please be aware that community halls have policies and guidelines with respect to insurance, Special Occasion Permits, Smart Serve and Food Preparation.

Volunteers work collaboratively with the O.P.P, Crimestoppers, Haldimand County and the Police Services Board to help make Haldimand County a safe place to live. Several local chapters make it easy for you to learn more and get involved.
Beautification is important to the vitality of any community. The betterment of a community through beautification fosters a greater sense of pride and quality of life for its residents. The beautification and showcasing of a community also assists with business attraction and retention – and leads to potential new tourism and economic development opportunities.
The Haldimand County Community Partnership Program (HCCPP) provides a framework for granting partnership funding to community organizations within Haldimand County for beautification related projects. Interested organizations are encouraged to make submissions to the HCCPP each year within the framework outlined in this document. Please read all conditions and requirements contained within these Guidelines prior to completing the HCCPP Application Form.
